It’s 28F degrees right now. The ground is frosted, the sky is foggy and we have a chance of rain today. And to my friends in the midwest, yes I am glad that it’s not a chance of snow :-). To brighten everyone’s day I thought I would share some photos from my 2010 cruise to Mexico stopping in Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Hope you enjoy!
Puerto Vallarta was our last stop on our Mexican cruise. After this day we would have two full days steaming back to California.
We arrived on a beautiful day to Puerto Vallarta and departed from the boat for an early morning excursion. While we filled out information form the excursion, Laura and I made friends with this Green Macaw. I’m pretty sure this resulted in me thinking I was a pirate for the rest of the day. And let’s be honest – I do love rum!
Our tour of Mexico continued with a port stop in Mazatlan. Now you know I love beer and a tour of Pacifico, who happens to be located in Mazatlan, was tempting but no photos were allowed and the price of the tour was rather high. I am never a fan of no photos so I talked Laura into taking a tequila distillery tour at Los Osuna instead. Los Osuna is located a short distance from Mazatlan, which was a perfect excursion on a warm sunny day.
The last music concert I went to with my mom before she passed away was a David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar concert. They dubbed it the “Van Halen Reject Tour”. Aptly named as both front men had be fired by Eddie Van Halen at one time or another… sometimes even more than once.
My mom was a fan of Hagar and I am a Roth fan. The difference in our front man preference did not cause a rift in our family however. Although I am a purest and prefer Diamond Dave’s spandex, high kickin’ and 80’s big hair it does not dismiss the fact that I can still respect The Red Rocker’s raspy voice and taste in tequila. Because “mas tequila”
